The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is a midsize sedan available in an athletic Sport trim or the more reserved Premium Luxury trim. Both trims feature slick styling and luxuriously comfortable, tech-rich cabins. Let’s pop the hood, open the doors, and check out some of its many highlights.
Two Engine Options
The CT5’s standard engine is a 2.0L twin-scroll turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. A twin-scroll engine has two exhaust pathways, or scrolls, instead of one, which enables the turbocharger to work faster for improved performance. This engine produces 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. It also has Automatic Stop/Start technology, allowing it to shut down when stationary and restart very quickly, to reduce fuel consumption.
The second option, available on the Premium Luxury trim, is a 3.0L Twin Turbo V6 engine. It delivers 335 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission. RWD is standard with both engines, and AWD is available as an option. The 2.0L engine reaches 23 mph in the city and 32 mph on the highway, while the 3.0L engine provides 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
Plush Cabin Features
The interior seats are covered with high-quality Interluxe leatherette in the Sport trim and leather on the Premium Luxury trim. The driver’s seat has 8-way power adjustment, and the front passenger seat has a power lumbar massage. The front seats and steering wheel are heated, and vented seating is standard or available, depending on trim level.
A large 33″ diagonal LED screen provides both driver information, like speed, fuel status, and other essential information, and the infotainment settings. The screen is powered by the latest version of Google Built-In and allows you to access Google Navigation, Google Play, and Google Assistant. It’s Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible, so you can wirelessly link your smartphone via Bluetooth.
Cadillac Smart System
The safety of you and your passengers is a top priority for Cadillac, which is why the CT5 includes eighteen specific safety systems dedicated to protecting you on the road. Known as the Cadillac Smart System, these features provide audible and visual alerts if they identify hazardous situations and give you sufficient time to avoid them. Several of these systems also supply automatic braking when needed to prevent a collision.
Other systems, like Driver Attention Assist, focus on you. This system uses a dedicated interior camera and an infrared sensor to detect signs that you’re tired. If it detects signs of fatigue, you’ll hear warning beeps or feel seat pulses, and a Distraction Detected alert will appear on the screen to advise you to pull over and take a break.
