The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is imposing, and its aerodynamic styling is guaranteed to turn heads. It’s not just its looks that will wow you, as the Escalade IQ has a range of features that make every drive an experience. We’re going to look closer at some of its innovative features.

Regenerative Braking

This feature uses two technologies to make driving more efficient, reduce wear and tear on your brakes, and boost driving range. When activated, these technologies allow the electric motor to act as a generator, capturing kinetic energy produced by movement and turning it into electricity, which is fed back into the battery to recharge it.

One-Pedal Driving enables you to lift your foot off the accelerator, and your Cadillac will immediately start to slow down without the need to press the brake pedal. It also activates your brake lights as you slow down to warn other drivers. Regen on Demand is controlled by a paddle on the left side of your steering wheel. Your vehicle will slow as you pull the paddle toward you, and this energy will also be used to recharge the battery.

Vehicle-to-Home Technology

The Escalade IQ’s powerful 205-kWh battery pack can power your home in an emergency using the Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) system. To use V2H, you’ll need a GM Energy PowerShift Charger and a GM V2H Enablement Kit.

This specialized charger allows for the bidirectional flow of electricity, enabling you to charge your battery normally and, when needed, switch the power flow to let the battery power your home. With a full battery, the IQ can supply 5.3 kWh per day to power your home at a reduced rate for up to 21 days, or you can reduce the number of days and increase the power supplied to the standard usage of 30 kWh.

Super Cruise

Super Cruise allows you to drive hands-free on over 750,000 miles of roads in North America. You activate it by switching on Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) by pressing its button on your steering wheel. When ACC detects you’re on a Super Cruise-compatible road, a white icon will appear on your screen to inform you. Press the Super Cruise button, and the white icon will turn green to show the system is active.

While engaged, Super Cruise will control your speed, change lanes when necessary, and apply the brakes or even stop if a vehicle ahead of you brakes. The system also monitors you using a small camera. If it detects you’re tired or distracted, you’ll receive visual and audible alerts, and Super Cruise will bring your vehicle to a stop as soon as it’s safe to do so.
